Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Develop cryptographic algorithms on an embedded controller, considering the balance between security/code size/performance, and maintainability
• Test, debug, and optimize software on Infineon’s Security Devices
• Implement test cases for automated regression testing
• Execute threat modeling, code reviews, and documentation
• Work in a very integrated multinational team, supporting each other even to the level of working together on the same code base (pair-programming) to ensure excellent results that comply with the highest security standards

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

As a Staff Engineer Crypto Firmware Developer, you push ideas to their full implementation and application. Furthermore, you work conscientiously on making things better, faster, and more efficient. Lastly, you are able to quickly establish a successful cooperation.

• A University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or a similar field of focus
• At least 3-5 years of experience in Crypto Firmware Development or similar area
• Good knowledge, e.g. on side-channel attacks (DPA), differential fault attacks (DFA) and probing attacks, as well as experience with the corresponding state-of-the art countermeasures
• Good know-how in embedded microcontroller programming (e.g. ARM Cortex) using assembler, C, and Object-Oriented programming
• Good experience with symmetric, asymmetric, hash-based, or postquantum cryptographic algorithms
• Experience with security measures in microcontrollers and/or circuit design
• Ability to generate software with a focus on outstanding quality by employing an accurate, reliable and systematic attitude to work
• Fluency English, German is an asset
