Role Overview

Loop51 is a newly opened Vinyl Brunch Bar at oud-zuid Amsterdam.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our team. In this role, you will support the head chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation, and contributing to menu development. Your expertise will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence
  • Collaborate on menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
  • Manage inventory and ordering of kitchen supplies, optimizing costs while ensuring quality
  • Participate in the training and onboarding of new kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen environment, with a focus on high-volume and quality food production
  • Strong understanding of culinary techniques and kitchen operations, including food safety standards
  • Experience in menu development and the ability to create dishes that align with our concept.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for collaborating with front-of-house staff
