Health and Welfare Employee — Utrecht

Do you want to make a real difference in the daily lives of seniors? As a Health and Welfare Employee at Dovida in the region, you Utrecht provide personal, non-medical support to seniors at home. You help with everyday tasks, provide company and support with personal care where necessary. In this way, you contribute to the fact that our customers can stay in their familiar environment for as long, pleasant and dignified as possible. You work independently, but you are never alone: you receive good guidance, fixed points of contact and appropriate employment conditions.

What are you going to do? You will visit our seniors at pre-agreed times to provide non-medical care and to provide support in everyday tasks. Your work is about real attention. Because you are linked to regular customers as much as possible, you build a relationship of trust together.

Your three most important pillars:

• Company and attention: You're really there for someone. You have nice conversations, have a cup of coffee together and help structure the day.
• Practical support: You help keep daily activities organized. Think of shopping together, going for a walk, or light household chores.
• Personal care: You support with general daily activities such as eating, dressing and showering. You always do this at the customer's pace and with respect for their own direction.

(You are never alone: you are supported by a coordinator and a support team is available 24/7 for all your questions!)

Who are you? We are looking for a reliable colleague with life experience who treats people in a respectful way.

Your personality (Soft skills) You are empathetic, problem solving and social skills. You see for yourself what needs to be done and you adapt flexibly to what the customer needs at that moment.

What we ask of you (Hard Requirements)

• Good command of the Dutch language, both orally and in writing.
• You are able to maintain digital reports in our customer file.
• You are willing to work flexibly (weekdays and/or weekends) for 5-25 hours a week. There is room to possibly expand your hours in the future.

Experience in healthcare is very welcome, but certainly not required: through our internal training courses, we are happy to teach you the necessary skills!
