Want to work as a grocery delivery driver in Zwolle? At Albert Heijn Online, you earn an all-in wage of €18.83 gross per hour from age 21. You work 12–32 hours a week, provide your own availability and drive independently in the familiar blue delivery van. You start with three days of support from an experienced buddy. Read on to find out if this job is right for you.

What will you do?
As a delivery driver, you independently follow a planned route to homes and offices. You make sure customers receive their groceries on time and properly chilled. You interact with customers throughout the day and regularly lift crates.

  • Collect your scanner and route information from the desk, then check and scan the crates.
  • Deliver groceries to customers’ homes and offices.
  • Collect empty crates, returnable packaging and any returned items.
  • Take payments when needed and answer customers’ questions.
  • Check customers’ ages when delivering age-restricted products under the NIX18 policy.
  • Record any issues or complaints in the app and discuss them with your supervisor after your route.
  • Unload the van and tidy up after your route.

Once you have enough experience, you may occasionally help train new colleagues.

Where will you work?
You will work at Albert Heijn Online in Zwolle. From this delivery location, you and your colleagues deliver online grocery orders to customers. You work alongside other delivery drivers, planners and logistics colleagues. On the road, you work independently, meet different customers and follow a different route each time.

You provide your availability and are scheduled for 12–32 hours a week. Your exact hours depend on your availability and the planning. Morning shifts run from 05:45 to 14:00, and evening shifts from 14:00 to 23:00. You work at least two shifts a week, including one evening shift, and at least two Saturdays a month.

Please consider how you will get to the delivery location for the early morning shift.

Albert Heijn Online is the company where you will work. Adecco supports you throughout your assignment: you have a dedicated contact person at Adecco and receive your pay weekly.

What do we offer?

  • An all-in wage of €18.83 gross per hour from age 21, including holiday allowance, holiday leave compensation and ADV compensation for working-time reduction.
  • A flexible part-time job of 12–32 hours a week, with the option to provide your own availability.
  • Travel expense reimbursement for up to 45 kilometres from your delivery location.
  • A good pension scheme with an employee contribution of 6.2%.
  • A Golden Bonus Card offering 10% off your groceries, up to €300 a year.
  • Albert Heijn Deals with discounts on major brands, theme parks, sports and gaming.
  • A structured induction programme: you accompany an experienced buddy for your first three days.

What do we ask?

  • You have a valid category B driving licence, have held it for at least two years and drive safely and responsibly.
  • You are available for at least two shifts a week, including one evening shift.
  • You can work at least two Saturdays a month and are available for both morning and evening shifts.
  • You speak Dutch and/or English.
  • You are physically able to lift crates regularly.
  • You are friendly towards customers and keep your commitments.
