Business Development Manager Marine (m/f/d) | Hybrid (Middelburg, NL - Munich, DE - home office)

As Business Development Manager Marine with Schiedel, you will be responsible for expanding and managing (new) relationships with high-value international clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services. You will leverage your deep knowledge of the marine industry, technical expertise in marine exhaust systems for diesel engines and diesel generators and strong sales acumen to deliver outstanding service and growth within this specialized market.Your role will be pivotal in driving revenue growth, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring that our service offerings meet the specific needs of our clients in highly technical, mission-critical environments.You are responsible for

• Drive Revenue & Business Growth: Proactively generate leads, pursue new business opportunities, and expand existing accounts through strategic upselling and cross-selling to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Technical & Product Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert on stainless steel exhaust solutions, guiding clients on product specifications, installations, and industry compliance standards.
• Strategic Account Management & Relationship Building: Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers, negotiate contracts, and align tailored sales strategies with client needs to maximize retention and market penetration.
• Cross-Functional Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal engineering, technical, and project teams to seamlessly deliver mechanical, electrical, and data center spaces services within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
• Market Intelligence & Account Reporting: Monitor performance metrics, track competitor and industry trends, and analyze feedback to continuously optimize client satisfaction and strategic decision-making.

What you have to bring with you

• Experience & Education: 5+ years of success in B2B sales, account management, or business development within the marine sector or a related technical field. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or Business is preferred; fluency in English is required.
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in marine exhaust systems, diesel engines/generators, and technical application requirements (experience with Exhaust After Treatment Systems/EATS is a plus).
• Sales Execution & Negotiation: Proven track record of navigating complex negotiations, communicating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, and closing high-value deals to meet ambitious revenue targets.
• Account & Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills to manage project timelines, oversee multiple key accounts simultaneously, and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
