Carletto – Italian Osteria

Salary: €2,400 to €3,500 per month (based on experience)

Carletto is an authentic Italian osteria in De Pijp where everything is made with intention. Fresh pasta is prepared daily by Nonna Tamara, our beloved pasta master. Our team makes fresh pizza dough, sauces and specials in-house. This is a kitchen where tradition and teamwork matter.

We are looking for chefs who enjoy collaboration, respect ingredients and take pride in consistent, flavourful cooking.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes with accuracy, speed and respect for Italian simplicity
  • Keep your section organised and service-ready
  • Work smoothly with the pizza team and communicate across all roles
  • Train and guide junior chefs so quality stays consistent
  • Maintain hygiene, portion control and food safety
  • Ensure consistency in taste, texture and plating so guests always get the same Carletto experience

Who you are

  • A chef who values craft, teamwork and good energy in the kitchen
  • Someone steady, reliable and focused on quality
  • Comfortable taking responsibility for your section and service flow
  • Open to learning and contributing ideas
  • Experience as Demi Chef, Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
  • Familiarity with Italian cuisine is a plus but not required if you learn fast
