IT-ENGINEER (32-40 hours | Rotterdam)

What are you going to do?

You’re the driving force behind our IT environment! In our scale-up environment, you’ll help colleagues get back on track quickly by thinking proactively, communicating clearly, and seizing opportunities. Furthermore, you will critically evaluate and provide recommendations to enhance the execution and scalability of our IT policies. Whatever happens in IT, you and your team, along with external experts when needed, will ensure smooth operations. Your main tasks include:

• IT Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for logging, tracking, and resolving IT issues across all support levels (1, 2, and 3). Identify and resolve hardware and software problems with minimal downtime, escalating complex issues to the external IT partner or IT manager as needed.
• Azure User and Access Management: Manage user accounts, security groups, and access rights within Microsoft Azure Active Directory. Ensure proper role assignments, enforce security best practices, and support identity lifecycle management to maintain a secure and organised IT environment.
• IT Security Oversight: Regularly assess and challenge the security setup of systems and networks, including external connections such as API integrations. Identify vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with security standards, and collaborate on implementing corrective measures.
• Process Improvement and Advisory: Identify opportunities to optimise IT processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Provide guidance and training to enhance user proficiency across the organization.
• Performance Monitoring and Policy Challenge: Proactively monitor the performance of external IT partners, challenge the status quo of existing IT policies, and offer well-founded recommendations to improve execution and scalability.

Who are you?

• A bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science or relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in providing end-to-end IT support across various systems and platforms. Preferably at least one year of working experience in the Netherlands.
• Experience providing IT support for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise technologies and systems, including Microsoft Windows, Azure, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, VPN or API solutions, and Active Directory administration
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and Power Automate workflows to support automation, enforce IT policies, and streamline software package deployment.
• Knowledge of Windows and Azure server, and Strong knowledge of IT services and processes (ITIL).
• Proficient in risk assessment, vulnerability management, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO standards, GDPR).
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders in implementing security improvements.
• Familiarity with service desk management tools and experience with ticket registration is a plus.

We prefer a candidate who lives near our HQ in Rotterdam or is willing to travel.
