To support our strong commercial growth ambitions in Western Canada, we are looking for an Area Manager: an ambitious, energetic and commercially driven professional with a passion for agricultural technology who wants to help further develop the success of Tolsma-Grisnich in Western Canada.

Job description

  • Responsible for sales across Western Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers and developing new markets, while also maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Tolsma-Grisnich office in Lethbridge, including:
  • Managing the installation crew based in Lethbridge.
  • Maintaining close communication with our headquarters in the Netherlands regarding shipments, service and all other activities required to provide the best solutions for our customers.
  • Supporting project management and the day-to-day operations of new projects.
  • Provide local support for existing customers by phone and remotely through our storage computer systems, during the storage and grading season while they are using Tolsma-Grisnich equipment.
  • Promote our new and improved products to existing and potential customers, including during demonstration days.
  • Attend agricultural trade shows and other commercial events.

Wat is vereist?

Customer-focused mindset with a good understanding of farmers and their needs.

Energetic, independent and proactive, with a hands-on attitude.

Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is an asset.

Educational or professional background in agriculture, sales or a related commercial field, with a strong technical affinity.

Experience working in a technical and/or agricultural environment.

Strong relationship-building skills with excellent attention to detail.

Well organized and structured, with the ability and willingness to lead a team.

Willingness to travel frequently throughout Western Canada.

  • Ik ben via mijn zwager op de metaalafdeling binnengekomen. Hier heb ik redelijk wat opleidingen gevolgd en zo ben ik doorgestroomd naar de koelafdeling. Er zijn allerlei doorgroeimogelijkheden binnen Tolsma- Grisnich en dat is fijn.

Polderklasse in de praktijk - Teamleider Stephan

Zijn avontuur bij Grisnich begon al op 15-jarige leeftijd, toen hij een stage van twee weken liep. Voor zijn laatste jaar van zijn opleiding bij het ROC Friese Poort liep hij opnieuw stage bij Grisnich. Het behalen van zijn opleiding en zijn stage bij Grisnich resulteerde in juli 1999 in een arbeidsovereenkomst.
