Job Description and Tasks:

  • Independent chef for preparing Indian dishes
  • Location: 2132MA Hoofddorp
  • Employment type: Full-time job / 38 hours per week
  • Salary indication: €2500 - €3050 gross per month excluding holiday pay.
  • Catering Industry CAO compliant employment conditions
  • Performing preparatory work such as washing, cutting, (pre) cooking, mixing, stirring, etc.;
  • Assessing the quality of products/ingredients to be used (freshness, shelf life, etc.), preparing tools;
  • Executing preparations, monitoring/controlling quality, doneness, taste, color, fluidity, etc., and making adjustments/additions;
  • Making orders ready to serve by performing à la minute cooking tasks, portioning, and garnishing;
  • Supervising the work of assistants, providing guidance and instructions;
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, Occupational Health and Safety, HACCP, and work and presentation methods (house style).

Your Profile
Knowledge and Skills

  • MBO level 3 work and thinking level;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques;
  • Competencies

What we offer you

We offer you: A salary according to the catering industry collective labor agreement, a full-time contract with a view to a permanent position, 25 vacation days if you come to work full-time (38 hours p. Week). Training opportunities, v.a. 75,- accommodation at Valk Exclusive hotels
