Our brands are for example Johnnie Walker, Chanel, Nivea and Ferrero Rocher. We are a service-oriented company with over 50 years of experience in the import and export industry. Our head office is in the vibrant heart of Amsterdam, and we have an international office in Curacao. Our warehouses are strategically located near the Port of Rotterdam, to help us provide the best and most efficient service.

We are looking for an HR Officer to join our dynamic team in Amsterdam, managing all daily HR operations relating to our two warehouses in the Rotterdam area.

What is the role about?

  • Coordinate all HR matters for our two Warehouses in the Rotterdam area, with 100 employees, including temporary workers from 3rd party labor agencies.
  • Advise and support WH management in all HR matters, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Communicate and provide necessary documentation to third parties, such as UWV, pension providers, and insurance companies, ensuring all relevant processes and records are managed correctly.
  • Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, employee development, promotions, and offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulations, keeping the company up-to-date on changes to employment legislation.
  • Handle compensation and benefits administration, including coordination with the external payroll company, overseeing payroll processing and employee benefits packages.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a broad HR role, preferably within a commercial organization.
  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English (mandatory for this role).
  • Polish language will be a plus.
  • A strategic mindset, combined with a willingness to handle operational matters.
  • Proactive, flexible, and capable of inspiring others.
  • The role is fully on-site for 5 days a week. You will visit the warehouses for several days a week.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this role as you have to drive to the warehouses in the Rotterdam area.

  • Salary: up to € 3.500,- per month and will depend on experience. Annual 8% holiday allowance applies on top.
