As a Lead Engineer within our team, you will be responsible for driving digital transformations, clear communication, collaboration, and a commitment to Agile principles. Those principles are fundamental to the success of our projects and foster a dynamic and flexible approach to software development.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on our IT organization, tackling challenges across multiple domains and delivering prioritized solutions which enable our IT teams to fulfill their work efficiently and effectively.

As a Lead Engineer you have strategic vision on the capabilities you are responsible for and need to show leadership to realize impactful improvements and propagate them within the organization to realize real added value. Through your extensive technical experience in combination with your leadership skills you guide and inspire your team to grow in maturity and innovate within our dynamic IT environment. You will play a key leading role through setting up state of the art software development, supporting capabilities like application monitoring, quality management and service management. You will drive continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.

What will you do?

• E2E Ownership: Oversee capabilities, services, technology, contracts, costs, processes, operations, and functional team performance.
• Service, Proces and technology: Manage the platforms within your domain, ensuring service excellence for end-users and stakeholders.
• Operational Oversight: Maintain the operations and non-functional aspects ofthe capabilities you own.
• Continuity and Compliance: Ensure IT continuity, process, audit compliance, and quality standards are upheld.
• Architectural Ownership: Owning architecture views, domain reference architecture, standards, guidelines, and principles.
• Strategic road mapping: Develop and manage capability roadmaps.
• Budget Management: Handle budget, ensuring cost-efficiency.
• Project Delivery: Lead the delivery of own projects and contribute to other projects as required.

What do we ask of you?

• Bachelor's or master's Degree in a relevant field or working experience equal to this level.
• Experience and/or affinity with Agile Way of Working to be able to do Backlog Management.
• Extensive experience in coordinating a team on a functional level.
• A friendly but strict attitude towards suppliers to maintain healthy relationships.
• In dept domain knowledge to be able to actively represent and advocate for the domain/platform within the organization.
• Experienced with ITSM, Cloud technologies, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Cloud services, log monitoring & automated testing.
• Good communication in both written and verbal
• You are proficient in communication in Dutch and English.
