Rosewood Amsterdam is offering a unique opportunity for people with no culinary or cooking experience, to kick off their career as a Chef. The course, beginning in November 2024, and lasting for a period of 12 weeks, will teach the successful applicants all about culinary and working in a kitchen. Once the course is complete, the successful graduates would potentially have the opportunity to join Rosewood as a Kitchen Assistant.

This program is fully-funded by Rosewood and is perfect for anyone with a love for cooking. Given it is an entry level course and role, this is ideal for people with no cooking experience.

What We Offer:

• A full sponsorship for the course, which includes 12 intensive training days held weekly on Mondays or Tuesdays, from 9:00am to 5:00pm, starting Monday, in November 2024.

• Hands-on learning with real chefs, focusing on:
• Cutting techniques
• Preparation methods
• Cleaning techniques (HACCP)
• Product knowledge

• Special visits to suppliers and workshops with guest chefs, enhancing your understanding of the culinary world.
• Your Responsibilities as a Kitchen Assistant, will include:
• Assisting the chef in cooking and preparation.
• Managing kitchen tasks and procuring ingredients.
• Preparing basic dishes and maintaining cleanliness.
• Supporting the team in delivering an exceptional dining experience.

What You Need:

• A passion for cooking.
• Residency in the Netherlands is a must, preferably in or around Amsterdam.

This role is your first step towards becoming a professional chef. The course is designed to provide practical, thorough training that equips you with the skills and confidence needed to excel in a busy kitchen environment.
