The role

Damen Naval in Vlissingen is seeking a skilled Engineer Plans & Arrangements to join our outfitting team. As a Engineer Plans & Arrangements, you will be at the forefront of outfitting engineering, focusing on accommodation and technical spaces excluding engine rooms. Collaborating with a team of outfitting engineers, you will apply your technical expertise to ensure the functionality, maintainability, and ergonomic design of outfitting arrangements.

Key accountabilities

As Engineer Plans & Arrangements, your key responsibilities will include:

• Execute engineering activities using 2D and 3D environments, such as Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
• Develop necessary information, including arrangements, lists, and fabrication/mounting drawings.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the department.
• Develop and describe yard standards to enhance operational efficiency.

Skills & experience

To excel as Engineer Plans & Arrangements, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• Secondary vocational education (MBO-4+) related to outfitting discipline.
• At least two years of experience in engineering outfitting systems.
• Proficiency in 2D CAD and 3D CAD systems, such as Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia).
• Knowledge of Class and Statutory regulations and outfitting systems, preferably within the maritime or offshore industries.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
