The Inventory Manager plays a pivotal role in the procurement process, driving efficiency and ensuring quality products are acquired for the business. They lead the selection, purchase, and management of inventory, collaborating with various teams to forecast demand and optimize purchasing decisions. With a focus on market analysis, negotiation, and strategic planning, they contribute to sales growth and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing market trends and implementing strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Coordinating deliveries to ensure timely receipt of inventory.
  • Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers to stay within budget.
  • Researching new products and monitoring best-selling items
  • Compiling reports on sales figures, inventory metrics, inventory count, RTV (return to vendor) process, and stock and sales weekly reports for future planning and management review
  • Implementing and overseeing financial procedures related to inventory management.
  • Facilitating new store openings, including inventory setup and operational processes
  • Maintaining detailed transaction records and strong vendor relationships
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on buying strategies, budgetary planning, and inventory management
  • Managing and developing subordinate staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
  • Providing guidance on pricing and product selection to support design teams and overall business objectives.

Education, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics or Business Administration preferred
  • Experience in budgetary planning and retail buying
  • Proficiency in software systems and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and negotiation skills
  • Passion for product trends and continuous learning
