Purpose of the Job: As our Supply Planner, you will be responsible for managing Truck Bus Radial (TBR) product line (Truck Bus Radial) in Europe in terms of production, import planning, replenishment planning and inventory management. You are responsible for providing the production ticket for the plant, import requirements for India and controlling the quality of stocks in regional and local distribution centers (RDCs and LDCs) by replenishing appropriately, maintaining optimal stock levels to meet forecasted sales demand. You need to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maximize product availability over time while meeting agreed inventory targets and priorities. You will also need to prepare the Supply Review meetings and Regional S&OP with cross-functional team.

You will be based in Amsterdam as part of the European Supply Chain team and report to the Senior Manager – Supply Planning EU.

Major Responsibilities:

(1) Supply Planning

  • Work closely with factory planners to make feasible production plan (monthly) and production schedule (weekly), and/or manage shifts for product allocations, calculate and prioritize net requirements
  • Define the import requirement and confirmed plan with India Team
  • Work out long term (budget) plans
  • Drive fast, appropriate actions to minimize the impact of supply risks (shortages and excess stocks) and communicate the actions to the respective stakeholders
  • Evaluate the capacity of the equipment in long term (Molds and Containers)
  • Project and control stocks and availability, anticipate deviations to coordinate actions with the relevant stakeholders
  • Manage/update the relevant Master Data for driving SAP


(2) Replenishment planning

  • Coordinate and oversee execution of the replenishment planning activities (process) to ensure superior service levels at the LDCs and RDCs
  • Mitigate loss (stock out) and promote inventory rotation by matching LDC demand to product shipments.
  • Monitor on-time delivery compliance and manage delivery exceptions.
  • Ensure all orders are compliant with controls including minimums, reorder frequency, lead times and order changes. Initiate and implement corrective action as needed.
  • Decrease shortages & overstock by analyzing the causes and defining action plans, while keeping all stakeholders (internal & customers) up to date on products out of stock and stock availability dates
  • Lead root-cause investigation in collaboration with Logistics
  • Define, monitor and improve the KPIs


(3) Inventory management

  • Monthly update of inventory norms in line with commercial priorities.
  • Shape the inventory norms by using the knowledge of the past performance/events, desired service levels and the product phase in/out information for all product categories in RDCs and LDCs in collaborating with Supply Planning Manager
  • Be closely aligned with product marketing and demand planning on new product introduction
  • Examine supplies and demand to determine shortages.
  • Report, analyze and improve the inventory quality in collaboration with supply planning and central sales team
  • Maintain master data and parameters SAP APO
  • Reduce inventory for end off season stock by inventory norm steering

Skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor or master degree in quantitative subjects (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain).
  • Relevant certifications are a plus
  • 2-4 year experience in production or supply chain planning in a technical industry (preferably automotive).
  • Adequate understanding of general business activities such as scheduling, manufacturing and process improvement
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, advanced proficiency in reporting tools (PowerBI), Microsoft Excel, statistical tools and software, and APS software
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and strong analytical abilities
  • Understanding of the tire industry, market dynamics, and factors influencing demand
  • Understanding and prioritizing customer needs in demand planning processes, and Outcome-focused mindset
  • Proficiency in stakeholder management and Competency in process improvement
