As we build our first commercial facility (Everox), we’re looking for an on-site Construction Manager for a couple of months.

Location: ’s-Gravendeel (on-site, full-time presence required)
Duration: August/September until December 2025
Hours: 40 hours per week (weekdays)
Travel: Daily on-site; own transportation required
Rate: +/- €100 per hour

About Everox

Everox (a Joint Venture between Dura Vermeer and C2CA Technology) is our first-of-a-kind upcycling waste concrete factory. C2CA Technology is an innovative startup upcycling waste concrete into low carbon substitutes to aggregate, sand and cement. Founded in 2016 by Delft University and GBN, we have a bold mission to transform waste concrete into sustainable building materials and mitigate a staggering 8% of global CO2 emissions.

Your Role as Construction Manager

As construction has started, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities and site operations during the building of our first-of-a-kind concrete recycling plant. You will coordinate with project managers, supervise subcontractors and workers, ensure materials and equipment are available, and maintain control over safety, quality, and timelines. You will be the driving force on-site, making sure plans become reality; safely, efficiently, and to spec.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site construction activities and ensure work is executed according to budget and schedule.
• Report any schedule or budget deviations to the overall Project Manager
• Supervise the structural steel assembly works
• Coordinate daily with the Civil Works Project Manager and other technical disciplines.
• Ensure the availability of materials, labor, and equipment, and manage site logistics.
• Oversee subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to agreements.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and compliance with design specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot site-related challenges, escalating issues where necessary and ensuring timely resolution.
• Track and report progress, risks, and issues to the Overall Project Manager and stakeholders.
• Support site inspections, documentation, and readiness for commissioning.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Construction Manager, Site Manager, or Field Supervisor in industrial or civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and operational workflows.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel and mechanical equipment assembly.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, and daily on-site coordination.
• Resides within commuting distance of ’s-Gravendeel as daily presence on-site is required.
• Valid VCA-VOL is required and GPI certified is a plus.
• Proven track record in promoting and improving workplace safety and able to raise safety awareness.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
