Your potential employer

Your department/team

The finance team exists of a CFO, a Senior Financial Controller, and a Controller. You will be working in a company of fun and bright colleagues with professional background in a variety of top tier companies all aspiring to build a fast growing and purposeful company.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As a Business Controller you will be part of the Finance team. You will play a key role in supporting and advising their business with project control, reporting and forecasting. You see the connection between numbers and activities and know how to improve our company's performance and achievement of goals. An entrepreneurial attitude is more than welcome at Battolyser!

More specifically, you are responsible for the following:

• Preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
• Analysing and reporting deviations from plan and forecast.
• Improving and setting up project controls, simplifying processes in the ERP system.
• Performing financial and business analysis, optimising insight cost structures and ensuring underlying costs are manageable.
• Ensure predictability of profitability, working capital reduction and project control.
• Involvement in grant projects and audits.

Your experience and knowledge

Battolyser is an energetic company, in this role you will have many interactions with colleagues across the company. So, collaboration, operational finance, analytical thinking and building the finance backbone are skills that suit you well!

The best combination of background, skills and experiences is:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics.
• Minimum of 5 year experience in controlling, preferably in a technical- and project organization.
• Experience with ERP systems, Business Central or similar.
• IT Savy (excel, Power BI)
• Strong personality and a Business Partner for the Executive team, Management and Project management.
• Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
