Corporate Strategy & Accounts (CSA) is looking for a highly adaptable junior strategic policy advisor. This is a versatile position in which you will come into contact with a variety of topics in the area of strategy and policy development. You will provide support for institution-wide initiatives by the Executive Board and the WUR Management Board. Together with senior policy advisors in our team, you will work on projects at a strategic, complex level and with a multidisciplinary character across the domains of education, research, valorisation and operational management. You will report to the director of CSA.

What will you be doing?
  • You will advise the Executive Board on current issues in the field of the broad institutional strategy.
  • You will follow and analyse national and international developments in the field of academic education and research.
  • You will participate in – often multidisciplinary – project groups.
  • You will represent WUR to our contacts in the education and research domains. These include the ministries of Education, Culture and Science and of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature and organisations such as UNL, 4TU and TO2.

In addition to these excellent fringe benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. Depending on your experience, we are offering a competitive minimum salary of €3,088 to a maximum of €5,737 (scale 10-11 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Wageningen Research). Additionally, a part-time contract for 0.8 FTE may be possible in consultation. We will offer you a year’s contract, with the intention of converting this into a contract for an indefinite period.

  • You must have completed an MSc degree.
  • You should be analytically strong and able to make quick connections based on complex information, allowing you to think strategically. In addition, you must also be able to take the initiative to ensure that matters are addressed and completed.

The Corporate Strategy & Accounts (CSA) department develops WUR-wide strategy and translates it into policy for education and research, both nationally and internationally. CSA combines knowledge on strategy, policy and international developments, and follows external developments to advise on course changes and new policies. CSA coordinates strategic initiatives, such as the Strategic Plan and internationalisation policy, and manages relationships with key partners.
