The Pricing team is responsible for all incoming rate requests and the end-to-end management and delivery of tenders and competitive quotes (regular and spotquotes) to existing customers, account owners and the network within GEODIS. They conduct pricing analysis using global and local pricing tools; recommend rates and price levels for day-to-day RFQ's and adhoc rate requests as per set policies and processes. The Pricing team in Enschede works closely with the commercial team, devising measures to optimize revenue and profitability of our transport solutions.

Key Activities and Accountabilities;
I. Providing services to customers in accordance with SLA, SOP or other contractual obligations.

  • Manage all incoming rate request from existing customers on daily basis
  • Preparation of all rate request and follow up intern.
  • Support the account owners by providing information on their accounts
  • Maintenance and updating of all rates, fees and communication in applicable systems
  • First point of contact for Field Sales Managers, Key Account Managers and sales support.

II. Market focus Result; remains up to date with product and market information.

  • Actively participate in and follow up on training courses provided to you by GEODIS


  • Technical skills such as good command of Excel
  • (Higher) Vocational education (MBO+/HBO)
  • 1 – 2 years' experience in a commercial role
  • Knowledge of customs, export processes and Industry regulations
  • Effective user of IT systems used in the freight forwarding industry (both Operational, invoicing and company tools)
  • Good financial insight
  • Fluent in local language Dutch and English (read, spoken and written)
  • Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) prior to the start of the employment which needs to be renewed every two years
  • In depth user of IT packages used in the logistics industry
  • Excellent user of MS Office software, especially MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Consistently strives to do better, to experience new challenges and opportunities
  • Works easily with a variety of people
