General description

The Crew Coordinator monitors and manage all fleet personal issues. Working in a multi-national environment, the official language will be English. The position is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Responsibilities & Duties

· Systematically monitors the effectiveness of verification and inspection activities within the department and fleet

· Manage all crew aspects onboard of the ASM vessels

· Manage OM matrix regulations. Prepare crew change plan in case the vessel is not sufficient

· Manage department policies

· Close contact with the vessels as per company standards. Update the vessel regarding crew change plans.

· In charge of crew changes all over the world. Ensure they are done accordingly as per company policies and in the most economical and efficient way

· Make travel arrangements for sea employees and superintendents

· Update and maintain crew personal files

· Ensure crew certificates are up to date and comply too all national regulations (STCW/Flag etc.) and company regulations

· Visit vessels during their port stays in ARA and meet the crew on board.

· Monitor crew evaluations and performances. Follow up with crew manager in case the evaluation is below standards

· Manage the yearly training program for the crew. Coordinate additional training if needed.

· Verify and approve disbursement accounts (DA) from previous crew changed and crew department expenses as per invoice approval policy

· Verify and approve travel expenses as per company policies

· First interview with job applicant

· Create senior briefings according a planned schedule

· Brief new team members regarding crew policies and procedures

· Accountable for achieving your objectives

· Implement and improve the safety culture throughout the fleet in order to achieve the company HSSE objectives of zero accidents/incidents

Qualifications

· Good computer skills.

· Marine background

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to work in multicultural environment

· Ability to work under pressure and 24/7 availability.
