We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Executive Chinese Chef to join our development team, who produces outstanding Chinese food using the finest and freshest ingredients. We pride ourselves on producing absolutely everything on-site while offering our clients creative, innovative, and exciting menus that showcase the best of Asian flavors and ingredients.

What will you do?

Join our team and play a vital role in crafting exceptional Chinese cuisine while supporting the broader Asian kitchen. Collaborate in developing and refining recipes, creating innovative dishes, and showcasing them during menu presentations alongside clients and the Gate Gourmet team. Share your expertise by training, coaching, and motivating cooks to excel in their roles. Ensure the highest product quality standards, maintain strict hygiene compliance, and manage recipe data efficiently in Excel.

Who are you?

We are looking a professional with expertise in HACCP standards and a strong background in Asian cuisine, particularly Mainland Chinese dishes (experience in Indonesian cuisine is a plus). You should possess advanced culinary skills, knowledge of modern production techniques, and a solid foundation in Chinese cuisine, enhanced by trade and technical product courses. The role includes delivering presentations across our European region and requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual with a deep love for food and customer service. A strong background in food innovation and development, along with staying informed about current food trends, is essential. The ideal candidate should have exceptional culinary skills, a quality-driven mindset, and excellent organizational abilities.

Key attributes include effective communication skills in English (both verbal and written), with Mandarin as a plus, a flexible and proactive attitude, and the ability to inspire and train a small team. Experience in coaching chefs and production staff is required, and the willingness to travel within Europe is an advantage. A vibrant personality and strong people skills are a must for this role.
