JOB SUMMARY

The primary role of the Technical Segment Manager is to build a robust professional network of packaging engineers working on semiconductor projects. You will be responsible for coordinating design work for global semicon projects, ensuring that the proposed technical solution meet customer requirements.

The role requires the person to lead discussions with the engineering department of key global semiconductor accounts, providing vital support Nefab’s Business Development and Account Managers within the global segment.

Additionally, the Technical Segment Manager aims to create synergies across different accounts within the segment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and develop competence within engineering team involved in semicon projects
  • Liaise with the other function´s representatives, such as Engineering Center, Sourcing, Operation and Quality
  • Communicate customer requirements internally, technical training of local colleagues about customer expectations
  • Ensure that designs handbooks exist and are updated for each account
  • Define segment specific software and equipment demands
  • Resource planning and budgeting, including demands for dedicated resources per region and account, back-up demands and competence requirements as well as discussions about hourly rates or yearly costs
  • Feed-back on new material requests, innovation proposals to the R&D team
  • Functions as a Technical Account Manager
  • Actively participate in discussions and solution presentation with customers
  • Support design work as & when required
  • Own Sustainability targets/initiative within segment (monitor progress with GREENCALC and CO2 savings)

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent documented work experience in the field of packaging design

EXPERIENCE

  • Technical Account Manager within the respective segment or equivalent

LANGUAGES

  • English professional
