We’re looking for an International Key Account Manager – Sports fields to join our Business Horticulture Team in Eindhoven.

As an International Key Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for building and fostering relationships with selected key accounts (Soccer-, Football- , Cricket stadiums, golf courses) to enable perfect grass pitches for the matches to play.

Your role is developing and driving the global business in sports field lighting with the grass segment team. You will talk with directors, technical staff and greenkeepers to retrieve their needs or any issue they have with their grass pitch. Your role is to turn this into a successful solution, based on LED technology, with which the stadium eventually will have that perfect grass pitch for every match to play.

Next to that you’ll develop this emerging market further and create the awareness of the latest full controlled automated grass grow systems that includes, next to LED, also heat and airflows controlled by sensor technology.

We as Signify want to bring solutions to the market that help the customer in reducing his carbon footprint and improving their products. The opportunity of “LED-ification” in sport stadiums is big since the sector realizes a change must be made soon, and we as Signify are successful in bringing the right solution!

You will be working together in a team with among others plant-specialists and technical specialists. This team will make sure that the requests of the customers will be in line with the solution proposed.

Together with the plant specialist and application/system engineers you can create the best proposal for your account.

What you’ll do as IKAM

  • Establish new contacts with Sport Stadiums and golf courses globally

  • Maintain existing accounts globally, that includes our solution partners

  • Create awareness, introduce our total systems solutions at the stadiums, golf courses and international fairs/events for sports (e.g. ESSMA)

  • Inspire people in the sport industry in the way how we can create the perfect sports field

  • Understand and read the needs/issues of the customer and connect them with the right people in the team to support/solve them

  • Be responsible for developing and executing a Strategic Account Management vision/plan to enable profitable growth of Signify in the sports field lighting business

  • Bring in the product wishes/-needs from the customer towards the product manager so that new products and features can be worked out

  • Create complete project quotations aligned with the business and partners

  • Support in making business/strategic plans together with the Business Developer based on customer feedback and on your own experience/learnings.

  • You will be part of a professional energetic and successful team

Your qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven track record in key account management and consultative selling principles in a fast-paced technology industry

  • Experience in selling complex offerings consisting of multiple building blocks – e.g., diverse hardware, software, servicing

  • Key account planning skills and focus on strategic relationships development

  • Commercial listening and questioning skills, ability to win the seat at the right customer table

  • Skilled in one-to-many negotiations, able to create demand for solutions by leveraging empathy and trust-based relationships

  • Interpersonal skills including working in cross-functional teams

  • Financial acumen and commercial savviness

  • Experience with or interest in soccer is a plus
