In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the well-being of our animals, providing exceptional care to mice, rats and guinea pigs, including feeding, cleaning and breeding responsibilities in a production facility.

We'll support your training and development to learn new skills and experiences which will allow you to both progress in your role, and also to your next role.

You'll have the opportunity to continue to progress your career as far as you want to. Our Team Leaders, Supervisors and Operations teams once started their careers as Animal Care Technicians.

About you:

You have a genuine interest in animal development and breeding, and you're comfortable handling and holding mice, rats and guinea pigs.

You have an MBO Level 3 or 4 in animal care (or similar). It would be desirable to have article 13F or 12. Previous experience working in an animal related environment (handling and caring for animals) would also be great.

Attention to detail is key in this role as you'll be keeping accurate records of breeding, feeding, cleaning and animal care activities. You'll also coordinate order details, including selection, packaging, ensuring accuracy at all times.

You'll need to be fluent in Dutch, and being able to communicate in English (both written and spoken) would be great.

You're a great team player, you're flexible to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis and are happy to work overtime if it's needed.

Location/Benefits:

This is a full-time, permanent role, based at our Horst site in Limburg.

There are a range of hours you'll work across; these are all based on the areas you'll work in. Our teams work a 38 hour week, and start between 06:00 and 09:00. We try to be as flexible as possible with start times to accommodate your needs.

• A starting salary of €30,478 (which will increase to €31,450 once qualified).

Due to the nature of this role, candidates cannot have pet rodents (mice, rats or guinea-pigs) for biosecurity reasons. Please make us aware if you have animals that feed on rodents (snakes, birds).

Candidates must be able to drive due to limited public transport.
