Job description:

Nice to know (you)

  • As an Integration Specialist, you will get to work translating customer requirements into solutions and technical specifications.
  • In this team, everyone enjoys working together with colleagues from similar or other disciplines. And they do so from the conviction that a good atmosphere is essential for a successful, respectful and hospitable workplace.
  • From travelers to employees: we believe it is very important that everyone feels safe, valued and welcome at Schiphol.

Connecting your world

As an Integration Specialist, you will translate customer requirements into solution directions and technical specifications. This enables data exposure for our customers via the Airport Service Bus (ASB). The development team then takes over to realize it. In your daily work, you will have frequent contact with the team that manages the ASB and builds the interfaces based on your design. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and maintaining interfaces from and to the central flight information database.
  • Along with your team, Flight Information, creating technical specifications and solutions for moving data between Schiphol's internal and external applications with input from the Business.
  • Together with other integration developers of the ASB team, monitoring the functional and technical code quality, or writing code yourself if necessary. In case of incidents, you will conduct technical and functional code analysis of running interfaces and come up with solutions.
  • Supporting your direct colleagues responsible for the functional management of the application.
Did you know:
  • On average, 400,000 messages are sent daily from CISS?
  • These messages are sent to almost 80 other systems?
  • No plane takes off if CISS isn’t working?

You've got this

For this role, you also strive to improve every day and always come up with solutions and new ideas. Furthermore:

  • You have 3+ years of experience designing Java Applications or in a similar role.
  • You enjoy investing time and energy to understand and learn the complex world of ASB and CISS
  • You have knowledge of ESBs and related technologies such as Fuse/Camel and ActiveMQ.
  • You take ownership and draw energy from collaborating in an Agile team.
  • You think outside standard solutions and critically assess your own work and that of others.

You get this

  • € 4401 to € 6128 gross per month (Scale 11)
  • A 13th month
  • An iPhone 14 or Samsung S22. The choice is yours
  • 180 vacation hours

These are just some of our terms of employment that come with this position (based on a 36-hour work week). Schiphol Group has even more to offer you. For the complete overview of all terms and conditions of employment, please visit Conditions - Werken bij Schiphol Group.
