Senior Director, EU Logistics

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Senior Director EU Logistics is leading all regional logistic activities, supporting business needs and delivering excellent service to our customers and consumers in the region. Key activities are:
  • management of regional distribution centers (Coty owned + 3PL)
  • management of regional transportation (B2B and B2C)
  • keep/improve inventory accuracy and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory controls
  • work in close collaboration with the regional Go-to-Market (customer service and market supply) and central transportation team to optimize service and inventory levels in the region
  • own logistics cost and budget of $110 million and develop continuous savings plan
  • build operational excellence plans for warehousing and transportation, manage relationship and joint excellence plans with 3PL and with transportation providers
The Regional logistics leader will define the appropriate strategy, governance and organization to deliver best in class results to serve the Business and implement SC strategy. He/She will do it connecting the regional business need and the SC strategic ambition.

THE ROLE

The purpose and objective of this role is to ensure a best-in-class logistics support in cost, service and capability to satisfy the evolving business needs.

He/She sets the regional strategy for warehouse operation and network as well as for last mile deliveries (customers & consumers deliveries), He/She will also support local customs & trade compliance.
He/She is responsible for providing vision and leadership to develop and implement the adequate strategy, lead action plan and ensure that objectives/results are aligned with Coty ambition, including continuous productivity and sustainability improvements.
He/She leads a large organization based across several countries and develops the right skills and talent development to ensure long term performance.
He/She will lead one of the global logistics projects or capabilities that will contribute to Coty SC ambition plan.
Key relationships must be established with other Logistics leaders (other regions and Global Transport & Customs), Manufacturing leaders, EXO teams, IT, Logistics Procurement, Finance, Quality, OPEX and SND.

Key responsibilities:
Define and ensure adherence to Coty global strategy.
Directly responsible for all regional logistics activities and results.
Create and manage the regional logistics Budget and develop plan to reduce logistics cost in absolute value and as %GS
Lead regional logistics team and build the team and framework, including systems and tools, needed to create best in class logistics network and capabilities
Develop, manage and own the relationship with regional logistics partners
Initiate productivity improvement activities which reduce cost and CO2
Ensure standard KPI’s are developed, implemented and maintained
Drive and lead the simplification and standardization of logistics solutions.
Ensure business continuity plans are defined, implemented and maintained.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Key requirements:
Required proven logistics experience.
15+ Years of relevant working experience (preferable in Multinational company)
Unquestioned personal and professional ethics/integrity
Proven leadership skills that demonstrate ability to take on broader responsibilities in the future.
Strategic thinker driven to introduce new ideas.
Knows how to implement (telescopic leadership).
