ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meticulous attention to the translation and of complex meeting notes, correspondence and other documents in Chinese/English and vice versa. Notes to be made with careful attention to the correct context, meaning, tone and technical wording and ensure that information is accurately conveyed to all stakeholders.
• Communication and consultation with colleagues involved about the translation/interpreting assignments and identify purpose of the meetings, presentations or gatherings and the foreign language parties.
• Prepare meetings, presentations and gatherings on the basis of in-depth research by applying useful tools.
• Use the most effective and efficient working method for the relevant translation/interpreting assignment by setting clear priorities.
• Manage, coordinate and prioritize tasks, requests, processes and pass on the complex information within the collaborative relationship
• Sensitivity to the environment; awareness of the relation between the parties involved.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• HBO+ working and thinking level.
• Fluent in Chinese (+Mandarin) and English both spoken and written is a must, knowledge of Dutch and other languages is a bonus.
• 2-4 years of experience with project management with translating and interpreting communication in Chinese/English/Chinese
• in a comparable position.
• Command of Microsoft Office package and function orientated applications.SKILLS

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

• A full-time position (40 hours), location Andelst, Gelderland, The Netherlands
• A job in a flat organization with short lines of communication in an informal environment
• A salary of € 3000-4000 per month, based on full-time employment and work experience

• We start with a fixed-term employment contract. If you perform well, there is a prospect of an indefinite contract.
