For our international client (one of the leading real estate companies in Europe) we are looking for a dynamic Senior Accountant (m/v/x) to join their finance team based in Amsterdam. The role holder will be a finance partner to the local team and primarily be responsible for day-to-day financial accounting and oversight of a portfolio of Netherlands based entities, which invest in Logistics real estate. The role will report to the Finance Manager and will work closely with the wider team of asset management, technical management and finance professionals.

The successful candidate will form part of a wider network of finance professionals across Europe and will have an opportunity to contribute to key group initiatives, including recently launched transition to leading MS365 Finance and Operations platform, and will be expected to travel to London and Luxembourg.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day financial accounting:

• Pro-active management and review of third-party property accounting
• Preparation of purchase invoices and maintaining cash book
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and all monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Complete intercompany reconciliations
• Preparation and review of interest calculation schedules
• Prepare and post monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.

Monthly and year-end reporting:

• Review and analyse monthly trial balances and variances
• Preparation and review of annual finance statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS
• Liaise with external auditors, tax & legal advisors (when required)
• Preparation and review of VAT and CIT returns

Business information and analysis:

• Communicate and provide insight on monthly financial results
• Ad-hoc support to Finance Manager, Country Managers and AM teams with Ad hoc, including on transactions, leasing activities and capex works.

This role also involves contributing to projects such as the rollout of advanced financial platforms, offering you plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and grow professionally.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Accounting experience (Financial/Management Accounting or Bookkeeping)
• Fluent in Dutch and English; additional European language skills are a plus
• Skilled in MS Office and accounting software
• Real estate experience is desirable but not essential
• An organized team player with strong communication skills and a solution-driven mindset
