The Supply Chain manager has a dynamic position at the heart of the organization. You link the chain from Sales and Design thru the building process to the finished projects. Not only do you oversee and arrange activities but also manage the Purchase and warehouse team with a focus on development and growth. Process improvement and Cost efficiency will be your key drivers.

Responsibilities

Supplier Management

• Manage day-to-day supplier operations, addressing and resolving issues promptly.
• Source and negotiate with new suppliers to achieve cost savings and improve performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Oversee purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Proactively follow up on late or incomplete orders, escalating critical issues as needed.
• Engage suppliers directly (phone or in person) for urgent matters when email proves ineffective.

Process Improvement & Cost Efficiency

• Analyse supply chain processes to identify and implement cost-saving or time-efficient improvements.
• Research and recommend tools, methods, or items to optimize production timelines and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline procurement and delivery workflows.

Production Coordination

• Partner with production teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials to meet project deadlines.
• Monitor supplier lead times and address delays proactively to minimize production disruptions.
• Establish and manage accurate parts delivery processes for all projects.

Inventory & Warehousing Management

• Oversee warehousing and purchasing activities to maintain operational efficiency.
• Manage stock levels to balance cost control and production readiness.
• Identify critical items to reduce downtime and ensure faster deliveries.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and audits.

Collaboration with Design

• Work with the design team to standardize parts, improving procurement efficiency and reducing costs.

Communication & Escalation

• Serve as the key point of contact for urgent supplier issues, escalating unresolved matters.
• Ensure clear, proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills – This is you

• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a proactive approach to follow-ups.
• Analytical skills to identify cost savings.
• Hands-on problem-solving abilities for supplier-related challenges (e.g., late deliveries, damaged parts, incorrect deliveries).
• Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and procurement practices.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Trimergo or similar).
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and adherence to processes.
