We are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and uphold our commitment to excellent service and culinary excellence.

Role Overview

As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests and an efficient, motivated team. You will take responsibility for staff management, inventory oversight, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management

  • Supervise day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure food and service quality meet Sol El Luna’s high standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization throughout the restaurant.

Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to align the team on daily priorities and specials.
  • Address performance issues and resolve conflicts among staff.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Place and manage orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
  • Implement inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize stock usage.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure an outstanding dining experience for all guests.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Regularly engage with guests to build relationships and gather insights for improvement.

Financial Management

  • Monitor daily revenue and control operating costs.
  • Manage budgets, labor costs, and inventory to achieve financial goals.
  • Oversee cash handling and sales reporting processes.

Compliance and Safety

  • Enforce adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure all required licenses and permits are up to date.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Marketing and Promotions

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan events, promotions, and menu launches.
  • Respond to online reviews and manage the restaurant’s online presence.
  • Develop strategies to attract new customers and retain regular guests.

Qualifications and SkillsRequired

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing restaurants in the Netherlands.
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food, beverage, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch and/or Spanish is a plus).

Preferred

  • Experience in Spanish or European cuisine is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with POS systems like Lightspeed.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
