We are excited to open a brand new role for Clink Hostels of Operations Maintenance Manager. This role will be accountable for the general maintenance and upkeep of our three hostels in Amsterdam, ClinkNOORD, ClinkMAMA & Clinkcoco. You will be responsible for ensuring that our hostels facilities, equipment and systems are functioning optimally and in compliance with H&S standards.

This role includes leading a small but mighty maintenance team, managing budgets and implementing strategic preventative maintenance programs to guarantee a seamless guest experience. You will be a key player in planned bigger projects working with 3rd party stakeholders during refurbishments and building improvements.

Role Snapshot:

Reporting to the Cluster General Manager for Amsterdam, some of your key accountabilities will be:

• Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, develop and motivate the team to achieve high performance. Schedule and assign daily tasks to ensure key maintenance concerns are completed in a timely manner to reduce guest impact
• Preventative maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and systems. Plan the ongoing upkeep of guest social space and bedrooms as well as back of house facilities
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all records, tests etc. are completed as required. Conduct any safety inspections as necessary and make recommendations for team training for awareness and compliance
• Project management: Look for opportunities for improvement and efficiencies whether through energy, water, environmental improvement etc. Be part of planned refurbishment and building improvement plans, share your expertise
• Budget management: Work within your budget, collaborate with the Cluster GM on planned maintenance and capital expenditure plans

Who are you?
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years in a senior maintenance management position, who has a good level of speaking and reading the Dutch language. You are passionate about the standard of work you produce, deliver a great guest experience, put our guests needs first, has strong people skills and who is not afraid to be brave or to be the best they can be. You can work in a fast-paced environment, use their initiative and work well under pressure and independently. You are fun, energetic, are open to new challenges and has a passion for travel and the hospitality industry

• Full Time Contract: 38 hours per week (5 shifts)
• Salary: € 4.167,00 to € 4.583,00 bruto p/m (Depending on Experience)
