Job description
We are a London-based fashion jewellery retailer, excited to expand into Amsterdam! We are looking for a motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our vibrant and diverse team at our new store in the heart of Amsterdam. This role includes leadership, operations, and payroll responsibilities, making it an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong management background.
THE ROLE
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. You will also manage payroll activities, ensuring all team members are paid accurately and on time. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to inspire and manage your team effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering a welcoming and engaging environment that aligns with the brand’s ethos.
- Oversee the day-to-day store operations, including staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Take responsibility for payroll activities, ensuring the accurate processing of employee hours, managing overtime, and handling payroll queries in line with company policies.
- Monitor store performance metrics, including UPT (Units Per Transaction) and ATV (Average Transaction Value), and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including security and health and safety protocols.
- Manage stock levels, merchandising, and visual displays to maximise sales opportunities and maintain the brand’s aesthetic.
- Build strong relationships with customers, creating loyalty through personalised service and a deep understanding of their needs.
- Collaborate with the head office team to communicate feedback, manage payroll, and implement new initiatives.

Additional Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail management or a similar leadership role, with a focus on payroll activities.
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English is required.
- Strong organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and work well under pressure.
- Flexibility to work on a rotational shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.
- Fluency in a second language beyond Dutch and English is an advantage, with preference for:
Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Persian, Polish, Romanian, Spanish, Turkish.
