About us

Just 10 minutes by car from The Hague city centre, the brand new hotel is conveniently located opposite the Voorburg train station, close to where thoroughfares A4 (Amsterdam – The Hague), A13 (The Hague – Rotterdam) and A12 (The Hague - Utrecht) come together.

What’s The Job?

As a Front Office Lead, you’ll not only be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in Holiday Inn The Hague - Voorburg

You Are Responsible For

• Manage and supervise all tasks of the Front Office Department to ensure guests receive prompt, cordial attention and personal recognition.
• Supervise the Front Desk team to ensure optimum occupancy and average room rate for the purpose of maximizing revenue.
• Being the warm and friendly welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.
• Acknowledge IHG One Rewards members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
• Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities.
• Lead and coach our Front Office team in efficient and accurate reception operations, including check in/out procedures and incoming and transferring telephone calls.
• Stay one step ahead of guests’ needs – record and act on their preferences and handle their messages, requests, questions and concerns.
• Stay safe at all times. Following our safety procedures and report all incidents.
• Apply changes to optimize the workflow.
• Follow IHG company brand standards.
• Understand and apply correct finance and hotel credit policy procedures.
• Co-selecting new employees and have job interviews.

What we need from you

• Excellent communication and social skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, an additional foreign language is a pré.
• Opera experience preferred but not a must.
• Ability to work on your own or as part of a team.
• You are a real Team player.
• Flexibility - morning, evening or night's, weekends and holidays.
• Experience - ideally you have worked at least 4+ years in a front desk or guest service position.
• Stress-resistant and representative.
