What are we looking for:

Your main task is to prepare and supervise practicals for biology, physics, and chemistry.

As a Technical Education Assistant (TOA), you prepare equipment, chemicals, specimens, and relevant apparatus for practicals, ensuring they run smoothly and that all equipment is kept in top condition.

You are also responsible for carrying out risk assessments, advising staff on safety aspects, and ensuring that all activities meet safety regulations. After practicals, you clear laboratories, store all chemicals properly, and dispose of waste materials safely.

Additionally, you prepare solutions as needed and conduct safety checks on equipment to maintain a safe working environment.

But you do more than that: you actively plan alongside teachers, keep a close eye on classroom dynamics, and provide essential support during lessons. With your eagerness to learn, you are expected to participate in ongoing training to keep your knowledge up-to-date, ensuring you not only assist but also inspire. Thanks to you, the science practicals are not just 'experiments'—they become an exciting introduction to the world of science!

You meet the following job requirements:

You have an MBO level 4 education with a technical background or a background in biology and chemistry.
You preferably have TOA experience.
You ensure safety during practicals and work accurately.
You are aware of safety regulations and know how to handle chemicals.
You carry out risk assessments and perform safety checks on equipment.
You communicate clearly with both students and colleagues.
You are willing to participate in training to stay current and improve your skills.
