Prime objective of the R&D group at Synaffix (Lonza Oss) is to provide best-in-class targeted delivery technologies, i.e. development of conjugation technologies, linkers and payloads. General focus is on cytotoxic ADCs for oncology, however other payload modalities are actively pursued, for application in immuno-oncology, targeted gene therapy or neurodegenerative diseases.

The “research associate ADC bioconjugations” supports the production and characterization of antibody conjugates (cytotoxic or other modalities) to contribute to achieving the company’s R&D objectives.

• Shows strong commitment to laboratory work and task delivery
• Possesses basic knowledge of biochemistry and/or protein science
• Familiarizes with the generation and characterization of antibody conjugates with a focus on cytotoxic ADCs
• Performs various purification and analytical techniques (including but not limited to SEC, IEX, affinity chromatography, SDS-PAGE, RP-UPLC, high-res MS) and has the ability to critically assess the results
• Performs cell-based and ELISA-based assays for functional assessment of antibody conjugates
• Acts as a strong team-player
• Has a responsible and conscientious character
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Communicates clearly in English both verbally and in writing

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in biochemistry, molecular biology or related field
• 0-4 years work experience
• Ability to purify antibodies and other proteins using protein A, SEC and IEX
• Ability to analyze antibodies and other proteins using SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC/UPLC, SE-HPLC/UPLC and MS
• Ability to perform functional analysis including cell-based assays (in vitro cytotoxicity, reporter cell lines) and ELISA-based assays is a pre
