LION develops and produces fire simulation installations for training purposes worldwide. These are used by fire departments, defense organizations, emergency response teams, and industrial companies. We are originally a family business, which still characterizes our company culture. Our parent company is also a family business that has existed for 125 years. From EMEA, we work with approximately 60 employees towards LION's success.

The Project Manager maintains the relationship with the client and all (internal & external) stakeholders, ensuring that the project is carried out efficiently within the agreed time and budget, resulting in successful delivery. You provide guidance and support to your project team, consisting of engineers and work preparation, with customer satisfaction as the central focus. Together with the Sales Engineer and Project Engineer, you form a triangle that is involved in the project from the sales process. Therefore, it is necessary that you have technical affinity to lead the project successfully. Knowledge of installation and construction work is a plus. With a view to a large project in the Australian market, it is valuable if you have knowledge of this market or the willingness to acquire it.

Your daily activities include:

• Coordinating and planning assigned EMEA projects and leading the project team;
• Assigning tasks and deadlines;
• Coordinating internal resources such as engineering, work preparation, planning, purchasing, and colleagues in the shopfloor;
• Coordinating external resources, such as customers, (sub)contractors, and suppliers;
• Setting up and maintaining project documentation/reporting according to ISO process;
• Setting up and maintaining the project planning;
• Setting up the operational budget with the sales engineer and project controller and monitoring progress;
• Monitoring project progress and reporting to customers and the management team;
• Reporting project results and/or risks to the management team and proposing solutions for deviations.

What you bring:

• HBO (Bachelor) work and thinking level in a technical field;
• Knowledge of international business practices, technical/construction standards, and contracts;
• Experience with process installations (mechanical/installation technical/HVAC/electrical/software);
• Relevant international experience in an operational environment;
• Fluent in Dutch & English;
• Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects;
• Customer contact and communication skills;
• Willingness to frequently/periodically visit your customers located worldwide.
