Production Planner

Bilthoven, 40 hours per week.

Are you passionate about keeping production running like clockwork? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where precision, efficiency, and communication are key? We’re looking for a Detailed Scheduler to join our team and take ownership of short-term production scheduling to ensure we meet demand while maximizing resources and minimizing disruptions.

Overview

As a Production Planner, you’ll be at the heart of our operations — translating business priorities into detailed, executable production schedules. You'll work closely with our S&OP Manager and production teams to ensure our daily and weekly plans are realistic, efficient, and agile. From being on the shop floor to managing work-in-progress inventory, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping things moving smoothly and solving problems before they become delays.

Key Responsibilities

Short-Term Scheduling & Execution

  • Develop and adjust detailed production schedules in alignment with operational goals.
  • Monitor shop floor activity and make real-time schedule changes based on equipment, workforce, and materials.
  • Collaborate closely with the S&OP Manager to ensure schedules support broader strategic plans.
  • Coordinate with production leads, operators, and inventory teams to manage WIP and material flow.
  • Quickly identify and resolve scheduling conflicts to avoid disruptions.

Hands-On Coordination & Communication

  • Be present on the production floor to oversee and support schedule execution.
  • Act as the go-to person for live schedule adjustments and issue resolution.
  • Work cross-functionally with production, supply chain, and procurement teams.
  • Provide daily updates on schedule performance, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Analysis & Optimization

  • Use ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 to track scheduling performance.
  • Analyze production trends and identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
  • Continuously improve scheduling processes based on real-time feedback.
  • Implement strategies to reduce downtime and increase throughput.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure schedules align with company policies, GMP standards, and safety regulations.
  • Support audits and compliance efforts with accurate scheduling records.
  • Generate and present daily and weekly performance reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in short-term production scheduling, preferably in a GMP-regulated manufacturing or medtech environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • A CPIM certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain management principles.

Pay Range:

€ 45.000,- / € 55.000,-
