As a fast-growing company, we are expanding our finance team to support our increasing client base. We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who will work directly with our clients, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in their operations.

Your Impact

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial processes of our clients, ensuring that their accounting, reporting, and compliance needs are met with precision and efficiency. You will serve as their trusted financial advisor, helping them navigate complex accounting challenges and optimize their financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Accounting & Advisory: Work directly with clients, reviewing their bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Annual Report Preparation: Assist clients in preparing and finalizing their financial statements in accordance with Dutch statutory requirements.
• Consolidation & Holding Company Accounting: Support clients with group financial reporting, intercompany transactions, and consolidation packages.
• Tax Compliance & Reporting: Assist clients with VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory filings, collaborating with external tax advisors where necessary.
• Audit Coordination: Prepare financial documentation for client audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
• Process Optimization: Advise clients on best practices to improve their financial reporting and accounting workflows.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that clients meet Dutch tax and financial regulations, staying up to date with changes in legislation.
• Financial Analysis & Advisory: Provide insights and strategic financial guidance to clients to help them make informed business decisions.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• At least 2 years of experience, preferably 5+ years, in a relevant accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP, IFRS, and Dutch tax regulations.
• Experience working with holding companies and consolidation packages.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Exact, AFAS, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
• Client-focused mindset with excellent communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
