The contribution you will bring to this role:
The HR Officer will be responsible for all general HR activities for the Justrite Barendrecht plant, with a headcount of circa 70 employees. This position will be part of the EMEA HR team and report to the UK & Netherlands HR Business partner. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and compliance when completing daily activities, be able to build strong trustworthy relationships with employees of all levels and use initiative to undertake local projects and activities to drive employee engagement to support the performance of employees and the business.

What you will do at Justrite:
- Coordinate new hire orientations and onboarding, personnel record maintenance, benefits administration and payroll processing. Ensure timekeeping is maintained within the HRIS to support the payroll process.
- Provide administrative support to our entire HR department; serve as a reliable source of information for employees, promptly answering questions regarding payroll, PTO, sick leave and benefits. Keep the employee database up to date in full while maintaining the HRIS. Seek out and implement innovative HR processes to reduce bureaucracy and reduce non-value-added activities and assist in the development and recording of forms, practices, policies, and procedures. All whilst ensuring compliance with applicable local laws.
- Ensure that all employees feel safe and cared for by addressing complaints promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate training for employees to succeed in their roles.
- Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, and changes and offer assistance and direct employees to appropriate contacts for wellness reimbursement programs.
- Prepare schedules for assigned company activities as needed (training, team days etc.) and coordinate employees' acknowledgments, i.e. anniversaries, peer-to-peer, birthdays, etc.
- Report all unsafe activities to Plant Manager, Safety Manager, or Human Resources and control and protect any proprietary company information used while performing job tasks.
- Act as a liaison between the HR department and other employees and assist in employee meetings as required.
- Assist the HR business partner with formulating policies, procedures and changes, as well as communicating all updates to employees.
- Assist as required on various projects and assignments/other duties.
Your skills and expertise:
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
- Minimum MBO level 4 HRM preferred or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as HR Assistant/HR Generalist
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; mainly in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Empathetic, organizational sensitivity, demonstrated successful experience with balancing employee and employer interests in a fast paced environment, experience in employee communications both verbal and in writing.
- Agile personality, can keep focus in a continuous changing environment.
- Demonstrated excellence in accuracy working with employee data (payroll, contracts, HRIS etc.). Strong administrator, strong communicator.
- Has confidence and the skill set to work independently without day-to-day support. Inspired to perform well when granted the ability to set your own schedule and goals and perform without outside help.
