Holland Ship Electric is an electrical installation company specialised in shipping and offshore industries. Holland Ship Electric provides comprehensive services to clients, ranging from designing and maintaining electrical installations to installing navigation systems and security installations, as well as commissioning electric motors and generators. Furthermore, Holland Ship Electric distinguishes itself through its expertise in electric and hybrid propulsion. Over the past 10 years, several ships have been delivered with hybrid or electric propulsion. Everything is possible! As Holland Ship Electric continues to grow, we are looking for a practically minded project manager.

If you start in the position of project manager, you will initially be offered a one-year contract. After this contract, Holland Ship Electric would be pleased to offer you a permanent position. You will also be provided with a company laptop and phone. During Sinterklaas, a small gift awaits you, and at Christmas, you will receive a nice package with all the trimmings. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
YOUR FUTURE WORKDAY

It’s 07:30 am, and you get into your car. Today, a new project is scheduled. Over the past few weeks, you have organized everything in collaboration with the engineers and work planners who are part of the project team. You monitor the entire process and set the course for everything. From discussing the specifications with the client to creating a material list and scheduling the technicians, everything is taken care of, and the project can begin.

You arrive at the project site and see that all the technicians are already present. Since all practical matters were discussed in the construction meeting held last week, everyone knows what is expected of them. The technicians start working, and you provide guidance or assistance as needed. As you coordinate the project, you often serve as a resource for the foreman and the technicians. Whether the technician has a question about software, control panels, instrumentation, or cabling, you have the right answer for everything. In addition to being the point of contact for the technicians, you also keep the client informed about important matters. If costs exceed expectations, you contact the client to discuss and coordinate further.

The projects at Holland Ship Electric vary greatly. For large projects, you may lead a team of approximately 25 technicians, while for smaller projects, it may be around five. A project typically lasts about three months, and then you start a new project with fresh enthusiasm. It may even happen that you manage 2 to 3 projects simultaneously. That’s what makes your work exciting and diverse. No project is the same!

Coordinating projects is tailor-made for you. You know who to approach for a specific issue, but you are also adept at coming up with creative solutions yourself. Additionally, you have an eye for detail and quickly notice if something goes wrong. Quality is always the priority.

This is you:
You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of education, have experience in a similar position, or are eager to take a step towards the role of project manager.
You have experience in the maritime sector;
You are proficient in Dutch and English.
You have a valid driver’s license (B).
You are available from Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 04:30 pm.

BEDRIJFSINFORMATIE

Holland Ship Electric is een elektrotechnisch installatiebureau gespecialiseerd in de scheepvaart en de offshore. Holland Ship Electric levert totale service aan klanten. Van het ontwerpen en onderhouden van elektrotechnische installaties tot het plaatsen van navigatiesystemen en beveiligingsinstallaties, maar ook het in bedrijf stellen van elektromotoren en generatoren. Verder probeert Holland Ship Electric zich te onderscheiden door de kennis die aanwezig is ten aanzien van elektrische en hybride voorstuwing. De afgelopen 10 jaar zijn de nodige schepen opgeleverd met een hybride of elektrische voorstuwing. Alles komt dus wel voorbij! Omdat Holland Ship Electric blijft groeien, zijn wij op zoek naar een praktisch ingestelde projectleider.

De overige arbeidsvoorwaarden zijn conform de cao Technisch Installatiebedrijven. Dit houdt in dat je recht hebt op 25 vakantiedagen, 13 ADV dagen en 8% vakantiegeld. Daarnaast betaalt de werkgever de helft van jouw pensioenpremie.

Start jij in de functie van projectleider? Dan krijg je bij aanvang een jaarcontract. Na dit jaarcontract biedt Holland Ship Electric jou graag een vast dienstverband aan. Daarnaast krijg je een laptop en telefoon van de zaak tot je beschikking. WAT KAN JE VERWACHTEN
JOUW TOEKOMSTIGE WERKDAG

Het is 07:30 uur en je stapt in je auto. Vandaag staat er een nieuw project op de planning. De afgelopen weken heb je daar alles voor geregeld. Dit heb je gedaan in samenwerking met de engineers en de werkvoorbereiders die onderdeel zijn van het projectteam. Jij monitort het gehele proces en zet overal de lijntjes uit. Van het bespreken van het bestek met de opdrachtgever tot het maken van een materiaallijst en het inplannen van de monteurs; alles is geregeld en het project kan van start.

Je komt aan op het project en ziet dat alle monteurs al aanwezig zijn. Omdat alle praktische zaken al besproken zijn in de bouwvergadering, die vorige week plaatsvond, weet iedereen wat er van hem/haar verwacht wordt. De monteurs gaan aan de slag en jij stuurt ze waar nodig aan of helpt ze nog even op weg. Omdat jij het project coördineert, fungeer je vaak ook als vraagbaak voor de voorman en zijn monteurs. Of de vraag van de monteur nu gaat over de software, de besturingspanelen, de instrumentatie of de bekabeling, jij weet overal het juiste antwoord op. Naast dat je het aanspreekpunt bent voor de monteurs, houd je de opdrachtgever ook op de hoogte van belangrijke zaken. Lopen de kosten hoger op dan verwacht? Dan neem je contact op met de opdrachtgever om dit te bespreken en verder af te stemmen.

De projecten bij Holland Ship Electric zijn erg uiteenlopend. Bij grote projecten geef je bijvoorbeeld leiding aan ongeveer 25 monteurs, bij kleinere projecten aan vijf. Een project duurt gemiddeld zo’n drie maanden, daarna begin je vol frisse moed weer aan een nieuw project. Het kan zelfs voorkomen dat je 2 tot 3 projecten tegelijk leidt. Dat maakt je werk juist zo leuk en afwisselend. Geen project is hetzelfde!

Het coördineren van de projecten is jou op het lijf geschreven. Daarnaast weet je bij wie je voor een bepaald vraagstuk aan moet kloppen, maar weet ook zelf creatieve oplossingen te bedenken. Daarnaast heb je oog voor detail en hebt het al gauw door als er iets misgaat. Kwaliteit is natuurlijk altijd het uitgangspunt.

Je hebt een rijbewijs B;
Je bent beschikbaar van maandag t/m vrijdag van 08:00 – 16:30 uur;
Motiverend leidinggeven zit jou in het bloed.
