Job description

Activities, requirements and wishes

A broad scope of work in the IT infrastructure where you deal with different subjects every day: that is what you will do as a (junior) system administrator at Rijnland. Your broad interest in the field of IT infrastructure gives you energy from keeping an environment running smoothly that is about to move to the Cloud. You will help implement Microsoft 365 E5 products.

What will you do as a (junior) system administrator?

As a junior system administrator, you are involved in building Microsoft 365 and Azure. You are also involved in preparing and transferring parts of the organization to the Cloud. You do this together with other engineers in your team. In addition, you provide second-line support for system management. You ensure that the daily management of systems runs smoothly and you can participate in various IT projects.

In this role you will have the following tasks:

• Managing Microsoft 365 products;

• Assisting with activities such as upgrading and implementing new systems, migrating to Microsoft Cloud (Azure), upgrading and implementing existing and new systems;

• Managing our (Azure) Active Directory and SSL connections;

• Ensuring optimal availability of our infrastructure, migration processes and changes;

• Writing technical documentation of the managed systems and ensuring that it is up-to-date at all times;

• Performing well-paid on-call duties.

What do we expect from you as a (junior) system administrator?

• HBO working and thinking level;

• Work experience in an all-round position in the IT infrastructure;

• Used to working in a team, helping colleagues and sparring with them on various substantive topics;

• Knowledge of and/or experience with Azure and Microsoft 365, etc.;

• In possession of relevant Microsoft certifications (or willingness to obtain them) is a plus.
