About the Role: Head of Issuing

As the Head of Issuing, you will play a pivotal role at Yoursafe, overseeing the end-to-end process of issuing accounts and account-related products, including the Yoursafe Debit Card. This role requires expertise in managing complex networks involving Visa, Mastercard, card processors, and card bureaus while ensuring on-time delivery of both physical and digital payment products like Google Pay and Apple Pay.

You will lead a team of issuing specialists across various countries, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders from governmental, intergovernmental, non-governmental, and commercial entities. A critical aspect of this position involves managing the issuance of products for key government contracts, including refugee organization programs.

As a key figure in the organization, you will also act as the primary contact for Visa and Mastercard contracts and serve as the go-to person for customer-related issuing matters.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of Yoursafe's issuing business, including cards, payment accounts, and other financial products.
• Forge and maintain relationships with partners to facilitate account issuance and expand card issuer networks.
• Oversee existing issuing programs and act as program manager for new ones.
• Serve as the primary liaison for Visa and Mastercard contracts and other card network relationships.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues related to issuing services.
• Manage inventory and ensure timely delivery of both physical and tokenized card products.
• Stay updated on regulatory and industry trends in financial issuing to ensure compliance and innovation.
• Collaborate with managing directors during the transition phase of responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in card issuing or account issuing within a Fintech or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of financial services and card network operations, including processors and card bureaus.
• Proven experience in managing partner relationships and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with the tokenization of card products.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
• Proficient in Dutch (preferred) and fluent in English (required).
• Very internet savvy with an affinity for new internet technology.
