greenhouse operations manager vacatures in Nagele

KWS Benelux B.V. is recruiting for the position of Operations Manager Greenhouse for our location in Nagele, Flevoland. As a member of the local management team, you’ll be responsible for organizing and leading the potato-related activity in the greenhouse of the breeding station. This position is unlimited and full-time.

Your tasks:

• Responsible for all greenhouse related potato activity of station Nagele
• Line management of a crew of 10 permanent colleagues and up to 40 operational flexible colleagues
• Act as key contact for the potato breeders for greenhouse related work and actively communicate progress and bottlenecks
• Identify and propose necessary greenhouse related investments within the station
• Develop, organize and maintain protocols for greenhouse related activities
• Pro-active approach in respecting and “translating” protocols into daily work
• Organize the work planning together with the station management team
• Be the key contact in the automation of data flow of greenhouse related activities
• Monitor quality and efficiency and optimize processes and workflows

Background and competencies:

• Horticultural education or relevant work experience
• Experience (or strong interest) in leading a team
• Ability to act with confidence
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, teams and external stakeholders
• Strive for continuous improvements
• Ability to lead others and build relations
• Ability to think ahead and organize accordingly
• Dutch and English language skills
• A passion to work with crops
