Position Summary

The Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) Engineer plays an impactful role in driving accelerated operating performance and adding value to key business processes through continuous improvement, commercial practices, and advanced manufacturing concepts. This person will provide tactical/strategic implementation of all elements of the Regal Rexnord Business System encompassing practical application of lean concepts, operational excellence, six sigma tools and commercial processes across all aspects of the business. In this position, successful candidates will guarantee alignment throughout the organization to provide meaningful benefits to Our Customers, Our Shareholders, and Our Associates in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory. This individual will demonstrate leadership skills to drive, persuade, participate, manage, and coordinate with employees, peers and plant management in highly visible initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assists RBS Director/Manager in leading and managing continuous improvement projects in order to accomplish measurable business process improvements
  • Employs Lean Manufacturing methodology and analytics into organizational operations in order to accomplish business objectives
  • Works with other functional leaders in the planning, designing, and accomplishing of key projects
  • Train associates in standardization, problem solving and improvement tools (SW, 6S, Process Mapping, Problem Solving, Kaizen, Kata and Pull Principles)
  • Drive and support the execution of standardization, problem solving and improvements in a systemic way within the organization and at external partners
  • Support the execution of process improvement in accordance with the organization’s Improvement Plans
  • Drive associate participation in RBS initiatives
  • Prepare and support execution of kaizen events
  • Document “best practices” in company, and build sharing platform for associates
  • Supports the team in developing a vision, and roadmap to use in the deployment of strategic objectives.
  • Promote and facilitate shop floor workflow analysis and implement standard work to achieve improvement priorities in a sustainable manner via process-based improvements.
  • Promote Visual Daily Management and GEMBA activities by teaching and setting examples to drive associate engagement

Leadership Competencies

  • 3-4 years of experience in lean manufacturing or other equivalent continuous improvement methodology
  • Hands-on experience implementing Lean in manufacturing and transactional areas
  • Self-starter, self-employed with high accuracy

  • Good communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Delivers and sustains measurable results
  • Cultural change agent – demonstrate a history of success.

  • Demonstrated ability to teach/train in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Kaizen tools & processes.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
  • Can apply the LEAN Tools & Technics in a practical hands-on way.

Experience and Skill Required

  • HBO level education. Engineering, Project Management or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Bilingual. English and Dutch.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Proficient knowledge of the Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System is a plus
