Are you looking for an MNC where you can make a significant impact? We are looking for a mid-career operations executive with a track record of world class manufacturing (e.g. lean, six sigma) to lead our team in Belgaum (Belagavi), Karnataka, India.

Are you a Westerner with experience in team leadership and management in India, or an Indian with experience in team leadership and management in the West? Do you like working with different cultures, have experience working outside your native country for extended periods or experience working in India/Asia? Do you have excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure?

We are looking for a leader who wants to live in Belgaum and work alongside our existing team to scale up the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Operations: Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring profitable on-time delivery of world class quality products.
• Continuous Improvement: We seek someone who welcomes problems in order to find success in a very demanding environment. You will analyze manufacturing processes and develop procedures to maximize productivity, minimize waste, errors and downtime and meet deliverables according to budget limitations and timetables.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for effective communication with customers, the executive team, employees, and external stakeholders.
• Team Management: Supervises purchasing, process engineering, quality control, production, supply chain, shipping & receiving, finance, maintenance, HR, health and safety, regulatory compliance, and performs other duties as required.
• Strategic Planning: Assists the CEO with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.

Our Team

Our India team is located in Belgaum, KA, a mid-sized city of 500,000. You will collaborate with resources on three continents. You will work as a member of a multinational team while operating with considerable independence.

You Should Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent ability to understand and teach the improvement of manufacturing processes and quality, e.g. by lean and six sigma methods.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Dedication to consistently conduct yourself in a manner consistent with our values.

• Implementing lean and six sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Inspiring trust from (skeptical) customers and colleagues 8000 km away.
• Improvement of both manufacturing and quality control processes. Familiarity with ISO-9001 and other international quality standards.
• Leading teams to improved productivity.
• Regulatory compliance requirements in India.
• P&L Business Management experience.
• Change management experience.
• Managing labor intensive processes, in a job shop environment.
• Mental toughness and career stability.

Pay: €119.000,00 - €155.000,00 per year
