Did you complete a Bachelor or Master’s degree in a field related to healthcare, and would you like to become a product specialist in one of the most progressive organizations in healthcare?
We are looking for a curious, collaborative and reliable associate to join our expanding and international Clinical Development team at Applied Medical’s European headquarters. In this crucial position, you will build on your understanding and knowledge of different surgical procedures, while at the same time gain knowledge of the healthcare systems and market dynamics happening in the different European countries where we are present. This will enable you to identify and define the clinical needs of the surgeons and healthcare professionals that use our medical devices and assist with the development and implementation of clinical solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing support to the Sales teams that operate throughout Europe, providing procedural expertise, competitor intelligence, market research and support during product and sales trials, as well as supporting various events related to our products.
To succeed, you bring a clinical background, with knowledge of surgical procedures and products, solid organizational and communication skills, and a positive outlook.

This position is based at the core of our European headquarters in Amersfoort (NL).

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and define the clinical and economic needs of our customers, and work with engineers, product specialists and other departments to develop and implement solutions
  • Develop your existing knowledge of key surgical procedures and products through observation in the operating room, discussions with clinicians, congress attendance, literature research, etc.
  • Identify and understand emerging surgical procedures and technologies
  • Conduct clinical and market research
  • Organize product testing and product feedback laboratories
  • Assist Clinical Development Managers in a variety of tasks
Requirements:
  • Bachelor/Master's degree, related to healthcare
  • At least two years of relevant work experience within healthcare and/or in a similar type of role
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement
  • Availability to travel frequently (~30%), including occasional evenings and weekends
The following qualifications are desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Knowledge of colorectal, general, bariatric, urologic, and/or gynecologic surgery and products
  • Knowledge of European healthcare systems and dynamics
  • Leadership experience
  • Knowledge of French, German and/or Italian language
