Job description

As a Commercial Officer, you will be the contact between our customers and suppliers. Your duties include liaising with customers and suppliers via phone, email and physical meetings. You will also be given the challenge of binding customers to the company and, where possible, increasing off-take. Within the role, quotation requests will be answered and requests for information in a service-oriented manner. The role has a preparatory technical role, possibly in consultation with the Production Manager and Quality Engineer, to ensure the actual orders run as smoothly as possible through the process, in which they meet the set quality requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• You supervise the sales process and view it in a commercial manner;
• You assess quotation requests and draft them where necessary;
• Handling information requests where necessary in consultation with responsible colleague;
• You carry out relevant administrative tasks;
• You conduct sales meetings by phone, email or physical consultation;
• You speak to customers and give advice in case of questions and complaints. You deal with these satisfactorily in consultation with the responsible colleague;
• You place purchase orders at the right commercial conditions and ensure that the products are delivered on time;
• Contributing to the company's short- and long-term strategy;
• You are responsible for procurement-related tasks.

Job Requirements

• MBO+/HBO working and thinking level (various technical directions) and additional professional training and courses.
• Work experience within a similar position is a plus;
• Sufficient technical knowledge to master offered processes.
• Good communication, commercial and contact skills.
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages in word and writing and German in word.
