Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Floor & Assistant Manager to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines front-of-house service leadership with critical administrative and operational responsibilities. You will be a key part of the management team, helping to run smooth daily operations and elevate the overall guest experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesFront-of-House Leadership

• Lead the floor team during service, ensuring guests receive outstanding hospitality
• Train and guide junior waitstaff on service flow, food/wine pairing, and guest engagement
• Manage table allocations, reservations, and ensure a smooth service rhythm
• Maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and adherence to health and safety standards
• Handle guest feedback and resolve any service-related issues with professionalism

Assistant Management & Administration

• Open and close the restaurant, including till reconciliation and end-of-day reporting
• Take ownership of administrative duties such as:
• Staff scheduling and shift planning
• Monitoring stock levels and placing supplier orders
• Tracking inventory (wine, dry goods, cleaning supplies)
• Maintaining cleanliness logs and health inspection readiness
• Assisting with onboarding and basic HR documentation
• Support the manager with weekly reporting, staff performance feedback, and operational planning
• Use POS and back-office tools (Lightspeed, Excel/Google Sheets) to help track performance and control costs

Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior waiter/waitress or floor supervisor
• Previous leadership or assistant management experience is highly desirable
• Strong administrative skills are a core requirement – including scheduling, inventory tracking, order coordination, and daily financial reconciliation
• Proficiency with POS systems (Lightspeed experience is a plus) and basic Excel/Google Sheets usage
• Excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset
• Strong communication skills in English (Dutch or Spanish is a plus)
• Wine knowledge or eagerness to learn about Spanish wines in-depth
• Professional, dependable, and able to lead by example
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions under pressure
